[Aniplex subs because the CR subs are localized garbage.](https://mega.nz/file/BdcXTIDQ#9mf526NatO3CjZT59WUWFKlT0nnZhA913o5PX9FIAYg)
Don't fall for his lies, the Aniplex subs are actually the localized garbage
KingRin, I think you don't know what "localized" means. If the audio says "He's weak", and one subtitles says "So weak" and the other says "Weaksause", which one is the localized one?
Both. All translated subtitles are localized. Localization is part of the translation process. Learn Japanese and read the SDH/CC subtitles if you want actual unlocalized subtitles.
Jeez, you noobs still rely on subs?!!
See, this is what I don't like about the English language sometimes. Some things are overly simplified. In English "translation" means everything about the process. In my native language the term used is "translation and adaptation". The "translation" part is just that, while "adaptation" refers to the localization process. So I'm complaining about the "adaptation" which for this series is just plain bad.
Making a teenage punk in the show talk like a Western teenage punk instead of a Japanese teenage punk may be "localization," but, well, someone shouldn't have to learn Japanese cultural and language quirks to experience the original artistic intent as-is. For weebs of that level, there are RAWs. Note: 3du-54n did not say, "Localization is part of translation." It was, "Localization is part of the translation process." There is an entire, complex, multi-step process involved. Localization is one of those steps (and it isn't even the final one—if a "translator's note" ever appears in the final version, the editor is a lazy moron who isn't doing his job). And without it, you have an unintelligible, amateurish mess that might as well be a machine translation. Note that the term "localization" has taken on a negative connotation recently due to people misusing it. What most people have been complaining about isn't actually localization; it's changing the author's original intent into a different story the person writing the English script wants to tell instead, often for the sake of some agenda.
@dmonhiro doesn't know what he's yapping about, he's been yapping like this since forever, he complains about the English language (he struggles to grasp) but refuses to learn Japanese. My point is that people want quality and creative subs, yo, not the underqualified ESL subtitles you want. You cannot take this seriously. ![this](https://i.imgur.com/P4G4L0g.png)
I did learn Japanese, dumbass.
I strongly doubt that.
>All translated subtitles are localized. Localization is a geographical concept.™ The main "translation theories" have never used this term. It's a recent invention that has arisen to justify bad translations and fanfics in games.
