Feels good to be back
Can we talk about the elephant in the room for a moment? Why on Earth does SubsPlease insist on using the perplexingly outdated episode numbering format of just 'Title - ##'? In the age where the S##E## format has become the gold standard, clinging to this archaic method is nothing short of baffling. Navigating through seasons becomes a Herculean task, especially for series with multiple seasons. 'Was it episode 54 or 55 that I watched last?' becomes a common and utterly avoidable question. The lack of season distinction not only confusing but also feels like a step back in user-friendliness. The real question here is why? What's the reasoning? Is it stubbornness? A lack of awareness? Is it malice? Or is there a rationale so profound that it escapes the comprehension of your average Joe? It's high time we evolve and adopt the universally acknowledged S##E## format. It's more than just a convenience; it's about making it better for everyone. Why make us jump through hoops just to figure out where they left off? PS This is s03e01

So 48.5 was in mono, and now 49 is in mono. Is this how it's gonna be for the entire 26 episode season? Because if so, then I think the studio has found a way for me to just wait for the damn blurays. Listening to these episodes is like trying to enjoy anime on speakerphone. There has to be a reason for this. And how is it that nobody noticed this yet? Does nobody use headphones?
Your media player is forcing mono, works fine and I use headphones.
@TimelessBear because it's episode 49. If you haven't noticed They do title series S2E03 (example) if that's how the studio names it. I.e. they follow the Japanese Syntax. @Glordit roasted you with a single picture but I thought I'd spell it out nicely for you in case your baby brain goes into hard denial syndrome.

@timelessBear I don't know why they do this. I have to rename every file from them because Plex thinks S2 = episode 2
> Your media player is forcing mono, works fine and I use headphones. Is it possible you found a version of the episode that actually maintains both channels? I've tried Subsplease and Judas but they're both mono. I'm starting to worry that the literal Japanese TV source is itself mono. Two episodes in a row now. If it is, that can't be accidental, and I can't think of any benign reason why a broadcaster or studio would choose to whittle the broadcast audio quality down to circa 1980 levels.
@Rowan It's not enough of a justification. I stand by what I said.
@Fredas2021 It's a CR problem, B-Global has stereo audio
Even though it's mono, I could hear everything loud and clear so no complaints on my end
@TimelessBear calling something it isn't doesn't need room for justification. YWNBAW BTW. It being mono doesn't matter. People thinking their damned cartoon needs 3d fucking sound when you're staring at blob animation is hilarious. Sometimes there's no need for dual channels, and sometimes that is just alright. My east cartoon sounded just fine, lmfao
> It's a CR problem, B-Global has stereo audio And apparently 2160p. I've been missing out all this time.
> It being mono doesn’t matter. People thinking their damned cartoon needs 3d fucking sound when you’re staring at blob animation is hilarious. By that metric, 1080p doesn't matter either, so why are you even talking back in this thread when you should be busy in the 480p thread petitioning for a 240p standard?
@TimelessBear yeah it's maddening.
TimelessBear, Stop crying.... Subsplease are using the correct episode number. Officially it is called episode 49 If you want wrong episode number then just download Erai release instead of complaining
@Fredas you can't compare resolution and audio. That's comparing an apple to an orange and finding the apple wanting for not being as citric. In other words the argument your present is called a false dichotomy. A low IQ way of REE'ing into the abyss and crying wah wah wah you're wrooong!! I'm laughing at you btw.
> In other words the argument your present is called a false dichotomy. Coming from the guy who prefaced this with a false equivalency. You're getting bent out of shape because people are taking issue with audio failing to meet standards set in the 90s, in perhaps the most hotly anticipated anime of the entire season. Not everyone listens to anime with one earbud, chief. You'd have a leg to stand on if this were a 5.1 vs. 2.0 comparison, but the fact of the matter is that anime has always had just barely good enough audio. Imagine a $60 game launching with pure mono audio. I'm sure there'd be feckless defenders coming out of the woodwork, defending their choice to use a single bookcase speaker, but the rest of the community would point to precedent and be justified in their outrage.
"Coming from the guy who prefaced this with a false equivalency." I do not think this means what you think this means (i'm laughing rn). The most anticipated anime of this season would arugably be Mushoku Tensei retard-kun although how popular it is doesn't matter. It also plays in stereo automatically unless you're running an imac from 1994 so what's the problem? The problem is you're stupid! "but the fact of the matter is that anime has always had just barely good enough audio" Case and point wrapped up and I take it you are conceding right here and now. Unless our autistic friend didn't cry about it because it didn't play correctly out of box on his boomer father's hi-fi audio system you and I wouldn't even have known it was mono. Shit sounds fine!
> It also plays in stereo automatically unless you’re running an imac from 1994 so what’s the problem? Bro, you have my sympathies. I thought you were leaping to the defense of the anime because you thought people were badmouthing it, but it turns out you were sincerely suggesting that mono is barely different from stereo. Egads. I would not want to be that guy.
"Was it episode 54 or 55 that I watched last?’ " Literal skill issue. Your memory is THAT bad?
@Fredas201 because it is on a cartoon you giga retard hence why anime studios are just giving you what matters. If you want an explosion on the left of your screen to only sound on your left ear and then gasm over it go watch some marvel movie slop. Now shut the fuck up
peak is back
The thing is the youtube video from muse asia for this episode is in stereo
mono dive foundation
DmonHiro : No we have lives outside of anime.
@DmonHiro Oh yeah because all anime trackers use the total number of episodes in a show rather than in a season. Also sorry for now wanting to dedicate my memory to such trivial things. @Rowan I stand by what I said. The only thing necessary for evil to triumph in the world is that good men do nothing. @maroon1 "Correct" is a matter of perspective. Also, why are you telling me to "stop crying"? I expressed my opinion. If you don't like it that's fine I don't care. Don't tell me you are triggered.
I can't believe someone would do a series of crimes for my benefit for free and then have the BALLS to supply this *mono* channel excuse for an audio track atop my jiggly boob anime I'll be writing about this in my journal, and crying about it in my sleep
This series actually has cool sound effects so mono kinda sucks
@TimelessBear it doesn't matter if you stand by what you said. You're delusional and a retard
@Rowan Argumentum ad hominem. Google it, maybe you will learn something.
@TimelessBear I know what ad hominem is and it's very pseud, much as you've presented yourself to be
@fabguy00 (and every nerd in this thread) If it were in stereo you would still complain about it not being in surround, and if it were in surround, you would complain about it not being dolby atmos etc etc. you're causing an unnecessary cognitive dissonance and you're being unreasonable. you would not have known the difference if you didn't read the comments before watching, keep that in mind next time you gonna jack it off to rimuru. @timelessbear everybody knows what the most common fallacies are except for you, so yes, you are delusional
guys I have brain damam brane dambabal bran dababmavb
@Rowan You know what it is yet you continue to do the very thing it describes in the same sentence where you admit you know what it is. Hmm... I mean fair enough you may know something but still choose to ignore it. It speaks volumes though. I am going to move on now, feel free to drop another comment with a reply I am not going to read it but I know that you must have the last word.
that's not how it works
