Better video quality than before and the dub is synced much better than before as well after I redid some of the code in sushi Once again using ITABD as the source the encode. It's huge because it has very heavy film grain that I chose to keep intact rather that wipe next release will be the first movie. S1: https://nyaa.si/view/1660009

> Remux… No, this is an encode.

Its the size of a remux because it has very very heavy film grain which was kept intact. Like S1 I ended up using the ITABD because imo its the best source to encode from due to having the most of said grain preserved. Along with that I have spent many many hours trying to find any sort of way to reasonably sync sources and there isn't any way that ive been able to reliably sync stuff up. Using a modified build of sushi I was able to get the english audio from the USBD to sync to the ITABD decently well. Going forward I intent to continue to use the ITABD. If I can find some way to get stuff to sync better then I will but the time to manually sync even a single episode is a few hours and thats far far more time than I have to do this.
All this with inferior old R1 subs, when new subs are readily available :(
Reza got my point, these sizes are so close to the BD raw

I considered putting more work into the subs but quite frankly I just don't really care to. I only used the r1 subs since I know I can get them to sync ok enough along with the english audio but personally I much prefer the dub voice actors so I don't have much motivation to work on 200 episodes worth of show when im not watching it subbed.
subtitles aren't an important part of the anime viewing process

Gintama is a pretty big maybe for me to do. Its a shit ton of work to do still in order to get it into a state id be satisfied with unless someone else handles most of the subtitle work and nobody else is willing to do so. The only shows that I am confident in saying ill release are this, Requiem for the Phantom, and S;G. the latter two both have full scripts written but need scenefiltering, and work to the subs done that I just haven't gotten to. ETA on those are whenever I decide to stop being lazy and just do them.
ep. 041 english audio seems to be from another ep. and 042 freezes up toward the end. looks really good tho.

I'll double check them on my end. There was an episode from S1 that had a similar issue. Anything like that will be addressed with a complete show batch once its all done. S2 is about half done encoding right now.
watched this show with my son when he was little. i'd like to get my granddaughter interested but she might not watch dvd quality or even 4:3 ratio for that matter.😄 much appreciated.
