La prima metà del film consiste in una rivisitazione della seconda parte del film “Death & Rebirth”, mentre la seconda rappresenta l’episodio 26 alternativo che va a concludere la storia e in cui si potrà notare la presenza di alcuni personaggi con un carattere un po’ diverso rispetto alla serie originale. Inoltre, questo episodio consentirà di scoprire qual è la vera natura del “progetto per il perfezionamento dell’uomo”; ovvero un progetto che prevede un third impact che sarà provocato volontariamente dall’uomo.
