It is an abbreviation for Remastered. The process has basically been an equalization that enhances those attenuated frequency bands to obtain a less muffled audio. EQ processes usually include other compressors and limiters, but in this case only an EQ, normalization and conservative noise filtering have been carried out. ### Why do you remove the noise? You are a criminal! As much as a certain sector wants to suggest that noise adds detail, whether to video or audio, it is completely uncertain. Psychoacoustics causes that when listening to a filtered audio to an unfiltered one, we focus our attention on the one with noise as it provides more sound flow, which it does, but not with significant data. If a white noise signal is sampled, quantized and encoded, we will obtain a series of quantifiable data, that is inescapably true. What needs to be considered is whether these data are useful or significant in the signal. Obviously, noise coupled to a noise signal does not provide any significant data and is considered more of a sound aberration, nothing new in the field of music editing with the eternal search for rooms with noise and limited reverberation. In any case, in order not to provoke controversy, the original unfiltered audio has been added for the most eccentric. The audios have been resynchronized, in some cases it has been a complicated task, due to gaps between the voices and BGM. Selecta Vision's audios are rubbish: degraded, poorly edited, pitch changes, etc... The audio of the Bardock special (Salvat) is good but the Trunks special has a huge amount of white noise coupled in, inaudible. In previous editions, it has been possible to calm down this noise by means of Izotope, but during this process and the level of coupling, significant sample losses could occur. However, the audio from the HobbyConsolas VHS tapes was preserved in perfect condition and the coupled noise level is very low, just like my Dragon Ball GT VHS tapes. If I have time I will do a comparison video but I think even the person with the worst hearing loss could notice it with just a few headphones. ### Last but not least.
