The team that writes the filtering scripts and x265 settings needs time to do the selected show(s) while maintaining their day-to-day lives, plus non-seasonal batches, plus encode times, plus procrastinating time. Weeklys also tend to get a v2 for things like missing subs, fixed subs, filtering script rewrites if someone was unhappy with it, etc. There is a lot going on behind the scenes than just what shows up on Nyaa. The team picks a handful of good/hot shows to do weekly and may add on 2-4 eps into the season based on what’s good, everything else the team plans on doing is usually just a batch at the end of the season for archival or binge-watchers.
