Is Kaleido-subs better than SNSbu? SNSbu seems to have corrections made for every season / special for consistency. You even used them for your movie release. ?

The last time when I saw an anime release by SNSbu it didn’t exactly inspire confidence in me
Being consistent is irrelevant if you’re being consistently shit
I could very well be wrong for this one tho

i havent watched snsbu’s subs (yet, SOLA is currently my archived prillya release) but afaik all they did was make terminology consistent between seasons and add weebisms. the weebisms will bother purists but they aren’t too annoying imo. i don’t think they significantly modified the original translations at all.
kaleido’s subs are definitely better but i’d wait for them to do the rest of the series before switching. and guess what, that’s literally never happening. i’d bet money on it.

Well personally I’ll probably be sticking with SNSbu’s release. Doing a quick comparison, SNSbu subs actually have TS (or at least more of it, i.e. ep 1 00:43 & 02:50). Added “weebisms” doesn’t bother me when both seem to be the same base script and both use honorifics / onii-chan. I’m not sure how Kaleido is better when the script is practically the same. Even the insert song on ep 9 looks better in SNSBu and the OP/ED are color matched with the credits.
If you ever v2 or work on more seasons, please consider SNSbu for consistency with your movie release.
