AT-X raws have been detelecined, and upscaled from the wonky 1440x1080 resolution to full 1920x1080p using Topaz Video Enhance, which uses AI deep learning. It also does a really good job at deblocking, denoising and sharpening without losing any detail.
SubsPlease source has also been run through the Video Enhance filter to clean up blocky artifacts and banding effects.

This one took a bit more work. Loads of censored scenes to replace. And on top of that the whole Hidive power outage delaying the SubsPlease release..
Some of the shit they censor is completely idiotic.. Like one scene where Healer-bro is just throwing his toy bitches on the bed got blacked out...
And by request I also added Karaoke opening from NisuAssu which are based on the Z4STIN subs. And for the ending I added the regular non Karaoke from Z4STIN.
Thanks man I don't normally comment but just wanted to say your versions are like the definitive release for me. Pretty crazy all the work being done on this show. This whole AI upscaling buisness is very interesting. I imagine it'll see more use in the future. Probably a lot of older releases especially would benefit.

Artemis HQ v10
To avoid the small artifact patterns it creates I set the upscaling to 200%. Then once done I downscale it to 1080p.
In the earlier episodes I used Theia Detail. But I found the newer versions Artemis did a better job with reducing banding effect than Theia. Especially if i also upscale it by 200% first.
I've found from testing that Video Enhance works best when it's upscaling it by at-least 200%. It produces less pattern artifacts then. Of course it also requires considerably more GPU power to process.

So feel free to change character font and the colors (the fonts arents adapted to the kanjis so feel free to change them). I have trash taste so I didn't want to try something. (I dont have a lot of time either).

Cool! Will be adding it in future eps. I can do a separate opening and ending torrent. In fact already have em pre-done, just not encoded. So i just cut out the endings and openings from the raws so they don't waste time processing them. Then i just add them into the finished video

Finally finished the Op and Ed, ended up tinkering a bit with them ?. Added some effects to them. Bit late atm though, so I'll be popping off to bed. And I leave my PC off during night, so wont be able to seed until morning. So expect the torrent by then.

tell me what you think about it. It's s simple but I really like it. You can use the same effect for opening after changing the fonts. (i added the fonts that i used for the kanjis in the zip).
If you dont like it ofc don't use it. Just make sure to not delete the comment lines of the k-time that you get after applying effects.

I did notice some minor issues in the English part of the OP. I noticed you had put together the lines "I am not be able to see myself" and "from the calm days in the past", but ran the "But burn them all, I won't regret it" twice. So I ran the kanji lines through DeepL translator too make sure if the lines where in corrects spot and found you that you had not adjusted the length of the combined lines and had the burn them all line running over the wrong jap lines. So I corrected that.
After that I decided to run all the kanji through a translator to make sure it was all correct. And the rest was fine. But i also decided to combine the "I'll change it, to live through the darkness from the beginning" and "from the beginning" into a single line across the 2 karaoke sections as that seemed to make the most sense when both lines are put into context for the translator.
Oh and a quick question. The code parts at top, marked with code and template. Can these be removed without causing any issues? As when i try removing it, it doesn't seem to break anything. So i just assume it was some left over from running a script?

The code in top is the script of the karaoke. Removing it wont harm and keeping it won't harm either. It's just in case someone wants to use the effect.
Cool. I guess I'll leave them in then. But I'll probably remove em when I Gorilla Glue it into the main episode.
I did add some small color changing effects to the english text in OP which is similar to the Ember/Zastin release, nothing fancy, but I like how it looks. Also tweaked the timings on the english text to better change with scene changes. And i like the fonts so ill stick with those. Just gonna run the kanji of ending through tranlator just to be on safe side before i post it.

And btw idk if i already told you or not but I love the job you're doing with this anime. Actually i'm usually lazy but since i liked the anime and your job, it kinda motivated me to do a small effort to help you have a better release. I just hope you (and other ppl) will like what I managed to do with my small knowledge x)
You did a really good job imo. I'm not as well versed with the sub scripting. Could probably figure it out in more detail if i bonk my head against it a few times.. But a pain in the ass? to read a bunch of documentation on .ass scripting.
Slight delay. Noticed when taking screenshots there was unusual amount of compression artifacts. Then realized it's because I used the same bitrate as with the larger release. On the larger episodes, the 2 pass encode is able to distribute a lot of extra bitrate data to the op and ep because they are more animated than the mostly still shot main animation. But because i'm just encoding the op and ed.. it had no extra spare bits to add, resulting in poorer image quality.
Soo i had to re-encode it with a slightly higher bitrate to meet my quality standards. Should be done in a few min.

It does qualify as a parasitic version, you got parts from multiple sources. Nicely done. If you want something a certain way, do it yourself. I'm a bit confused why 2 video sources were used when the AT-X Uncensored video would work. I wonder if thats what [Z4ST1N] has been doing. Get their subs to sync up to a new source video is more work than its worth.

The AT-X source has considerably more compression artifact degradation than the Hidive source Subsplease uses, plus the Hidive source is in native 16:9 1080p (1920x1090p).. while the AT-X source is 4:3 1080p(1440x1080). While the Video Enhances Deep Learning does an impressive job cleaning it up. It still can't do magic... yet.. And there are some finer details that tend to get lost. And it is always best to work with as clean sources as possible. And I did read that is what Zastin does as well.
And resyncing subs is actually really simple.. like can be done in less than 5-10 min.
EDIT: Also I found it kinda funny going through the video and seeing the stupid shit they decided to censor. ?
Bit of a delay on next episode. First i had trouble getting hold of AT-X source via moscowgolem as there was noone seeding it.... And then after finishing encoding and proof watching the episode I noticed a couple of frames had gotten glitched out in a very noticeable way. So had to go and redo and fix those. But now i have to re-encode the entire thing all over again. soo that's 2 hours down the drain.... So expect next episode to be up about 2 hours from this message..
