Orphan Fansubs presents the first English version of the 2005 anime movie, *Nagasaki 1945: Angelus no Kane* (*Nagasaki 1945: The Angelus Bell*). It recounts the atomic bombing of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, and the aftermath, through the eyes of Dr. Akizuki Tatsuichirou, who was present throughout and wrote an eyewitness account of the catastrophe. The encodes is a 1080p web stream, from [R-Raws]. I found out about the cathedral in Nagasaki well into my adult hood. I always found it ironical that the largest Catholic population in all of Japan was targeted by a bomber who's crew was entirely Catholic. and that the Cathedral itself was most likely what they used as a targeting point since it was easy to see. Anyone who has studied the efforts of the Catholic church missionaries to convert Japan knows what a setback this event was for them. Also, because they were Catholic they were more or less being used as forced labor in the factories and being held under high suspicion of being American spies. I haven't even heard of this movie before, but I am eager now to watch it. Americans always love to bury the history they are not proud of. Now if I can only find something about the Japanese occupation of Manilla in the US territory of the Philippines during WWII, the bloodiest war to take place on US soil, I think I will have a bit more of the history we patriotic Americans love to hide.
@TarryPlaguer, don't worry, they made shrift. So, no problem :) (Reminds me "Pirates" Movie 1986)
