P.S: If you don’t like this torrent and don’t plan on downloading it, please DON’T bash it here in the comments section: We have way TOO MUCH of “that” when it comes to the DBZ fandom both here and everywhere else online! I just wanted to make a really good “one stop shop” torrent for DBZ that our fellow peers could download without having to search all over the internet (and here) for everything since the franchise covers so MUCH territory.

Also, had I known about the “30th Anniversary” BluRay (which is 4:3 Aspect Ratio), I would’ve encoded from that particular set instead of the “Season Sets” (which many of you guys dislike)! However, since I just recently found out about it, it would’ve taken a few more MONTHS to re-encode THAT due to all of the DE-graining of the artificial grain (that they added) that I’d have to do just to get the filesizes DOWN enough to a reasonable area (since grain often BLOATS a video’s filesize)!

I hope many of you understand as I’ve done the BEST that I can with the material I have (so far)…

Maybe u can split it by parts… like Part 1 for TV Series, Part 2 for Movies, Part 3 for TV Specials and so on. Just my opinion anyways.

@animepacks007 Please delete it and come back after finishing the encoding of the 30th Blu-ray release. And you don’t have to de-grain it while doing that, I know they added it artificially ( fake grain) , but it still would be always nice to have encodes similar to the quality of the official releases as much as possible despite the flaws they might have . 30th Anniversary” Blu-Ray comes with 4:3 Aspect Ratio , which means the footage is not cropped . Besides, it has more footage than any other release ever existed for the show except for episode 1 which we can use the level set ( incomplete Funi Blu-ray release) version of it to make that up . I have many untouched Raw releases for the show and I just came here hoping to see proper encodes for those who don’t have or don’t want to have extra space for the show .

I am sorry to say but I think Nyaa has plenty of torrents for the complete series and even franchise. This torrent is a bit pointless especially when Kaos has a fantastic release with all dubs and Japanese broadcast audio which is far better than this and 2DS has ecnodes of the entire franchise that have really good file sizes and Broadcast Audio on the entire franchise. Not to mention all these releases use DVNR and are cropped to hell and back.

At this point, I’m pretty much through when it comes to anything to do with the DBZ series, LOL! But you never know, I just may do an encode of the 30th Anniversary BluRay set someday :P!

Trust me, my efforts may not be appreciated here @ Nyaa.si when it comes to the Dragon Ball franchise but they definitely ARE appreciated EVERYWHERE else ;)!

No, this torrent is NOT a “bit pointless” as this torrent has stuff that those other torrents you listed don’t have! Trust me, there are a LOT of downloaders that will appreciate the effort listed here (despited the whole debate between the various DVD Sets, Season Sets, BluRays, and so on)!

Also, THIS release has the BROADCAST audio (that you mentioned) muxed into each of the 291 episodes for DBZ (it’s Track #2 for each episode, actually)…

They are taking their time, effort, and bandwidth to share something with us for free, expecting nothing but perhaps some words of gratitude, something which I have to say, I don’t really see as much as I would like. Not trying to be a jerk and sh*t on this torrent but yes it is kinda pointless. It just adds to the noise of Dragon Ball releases on the website that have the same thing. Personally iKaos has one of the best torrents for this as he incorporates ALL the audios, not just FUNimation and Jap audios but the Blue Ocean one. Unfortunately ikaos has chosen to use the 480p instead of the newly released 30th anniversary set.

I like how you say that you’re not trying to shit on this torrent, then proceed to call it pointless. That first line itself clearly shows what level of stupid I’m dealing with right now. Second, do you even know that if every uploader took your words and as a result there was no duplicate torrent here, what would happen? What would happen is that there would be flocks of people who won’t get anything to download. This is a public tracker, not a private one, and the life expentancy of most torrents here are weeks at best. And before you tell me that the uploader should just seed longer, pls refer to my previous post where I said that “no uploader owes you shit”. So yeah, most of the “noise” DB releases you are talking about are most probably dead by now, but why should you care about other people not getting a chance to download cuz they were late, you most likely already grabbed everything you need, right? Also, this isn’t even noise as iKaos uses Dragon Box and this is season set. And lastly, even if this release was the exact same as iKaos, and by your definition would be “noise”, it still would have value as there will always be people who would want to download it. And that is what’s most important; if people want to download this release, then you can call this release “noise” or whatever the fuck you want, it still has value. I hope you understand, I tried to be as slow as possible just for you.

Finally, wanting iKaos to switch from DBoxes to the anniversary sets… I dunno what you are smoking but anyone with working eyes and good taste will tell you that the 30th anniversary set doesn’t even come close to the DBoxes, but hey if you like dem sets better, I’m not one to judge… I mean apart from this remark.

Please consider this constructive criticism, not outward bashing. You’ve made some interesting choices here and it would probably be nice to have some comments as to the methodology behind some of those choices. For example:

1. you use the DHD encodes of the BDs, but then you also re-encode them further? Is this to compress the size even more?
2. You also say you use the Tokai BA, but what is the source for this? WinXBloom? Maakuo? Mirolo? Deli? Or is it a new sync you did yourself?
3. You’ve well documented the audio sources, but what is the quality of the audio (untouched AC3, compressed AAC, FLAC, etc)?
4. This is ostensibly a DBZ torrent, however there’s random things like the DB safety specials, the GT special, and the Super Broly movie. I feel like these things exist to pad out the torrent and give you more of a basis to say there are unique things not usually included in DBZ torrents.
5. Movie 1 has a commentary track that would have added value.
6. Some of the nomenclature you use is a bit odd, like calling the Trunks TV Special “Special 6”.

Obviously people are going to download this regardless, since DB (especially Z) fans are the “consume product” type, but it would be nice to have a little clarity in such a long, thought out description.

I also appreciate people trying to stick up for my releases, but the people who are downloading this are likely not the same ones who are downloading mine (unless they’re literally collecting all encodes of Z, which, God help them).

@Eckhart There’s nothing unfortunate about choosing not to use the 30A set. 1080p doesn’t magically make a release good.

Many other torrents already zero seeds, so this torrent actually “a Hero” for me. Especially the extras. Thanks for your hardwork, just keep it up.

I’m gonna say it for the last time, cuz you have to be as clear as possible since there are some who are really slow here; you don’t have to like everything an uploader dishes out, and suck his dick till you choke. No, you shouldn’t suck anyone’s dick, unless you’re into that ofc, you can and should have an opinion and the freedom to express it. However there are some people who are downright disrespectful, and don’t even seem to know the difference between constructive criticism and downright bashing. But to be fair, sometimes that line can appear quite thin. I can only request you guys to try and be a bit more considerate next time you comment on something. Always remember that it’s easier to discourage someone rather than encourage them.

Made an account just to say thanks for all of the great packs you’re uploading. Makes it easier for people looking to get into a franchise. I especially want to thank you for the Gundam series packs. Bandwidth and seeding capacity is a finite resource. Not commenting on this release specifically (I have enjoyed many of his packs) but just to make the point: bad or superfluous releases have negative value as they hypothetically can detract from the seeding capacity of the good releases (remember YIFY?) or cut down the lifespan of both releases, decrease everyone’s download speeds, etc. So efficiency is worth debating.

Finding value in anything is subjective. I don’t say that good and bad don’t exist. I don’t say that everything can only be opinions and facts don’t exist. A bit-starved encode is bad, and that is a fact that can’t be disputed. However finding value in something isn’t dependent on any fact, and there may be someone who might want that bit-starved encode even tho there might be much better encodes of that same thing available to them.

I understand your point, but ultimately the decision is and should be up to the person who decides to download, on what they want to divert their resources. I don’t think eliminating “noise” should be the solution. I believe that people should always have the choice, even between good and bad. If something is good, people will keep coming back to it, at least that’s what we can hope. And at the end of the day, it all comes back to one thing; hope that the majority does the right thing, and most of the time they actually do the right thing, that’s why good torrents live much longer than bad ones.

Anyway that’s my take on this topic, and I know it’s a bit philosophical, but hey when you think about it; you can compare nyaa to a mini society. I mean kinda…

One final thing, before any smartass tries to say; “No, you are wrong. Good torrents are not seeded longer than bad torrents”; To such a statement I will say that that is your experience, so I’m not gonna tell you that you’re wrong. The way I see it, opinions are made of 2 things: The knowledge of facts (or what someone believes are facts, cuz yeah, people many times do get their facts wrong), and beliefs. Beliefs are shaped with experience. Even your values, principles, and personality are shaped, reinforced and/or change over time because of the experiences you’ve accumulated. So, if you’re diagreeing with me cuz you had a different experience, well, like I just tried to explain; technically we both aren’t wrong.

And this should be my last post in this thread. While I do think this discussion was needed, any more will derail the purpose of this thread; and that is to talk about and critique this torrent. Besides, I think we may have scared the uploader, he isn’t commenting at all lol.

1. At the time, I had the DHD releases just sitting on my hard drive (from the 720p encode I did last year) so I figured, “why not use them again for this 1080p release”. At the time, I didn’t even know about the 30th Anniversary Set until it was too late :, unfortunately.

2. I got the broadcast audio from this link right here and then remuxed them into my files: https://nyaa.si/view/1203987 .

3. The audio is compressed AAC for the most part.

4. I added them pretty much for the same reasons you stated, LOL.

5. I wish I would’ve known about the audio commentary at the time.

6. In regards to the “nomenclature”, it was due to the actual DATES that such specials and such were released which is why I titled them the way that I did, chronologically (according to release date and such).

The reason why the subtitles may seem “wonky” at times is due to the OCR’ing process that I had to due for this series. The subs were originally PGS (BluRay subtitle format) so I OCRed them into SRT subs and then remuxed them into the torrent…

@chibiwings It happened with me but not with any of this torrent files. It happened with Code Geass Miraculous Birthday Omake Special from VCB-Studio.
I don’t know why when I put the file in the outer folder to that in which I kept it earlier, the problem got sorted out.

@chibiwings I guess try to reduce the file name and put the file in the parent directory. I guess it should work.

Anyone who likes 1080p for this old show because you want it to be updated looking then get this BD release. If you want to watch it in DVD then get iKaos release 480p. To those who does not know, this show was released in 1989 so the original screen resolution is not 480 or 1080p it was just 240p to 360p correct me about the resolution. 240p or 360p on a CRT 4:3 letter box Television. What I am saying is even the DVD release at 480p is an upscale of the original but way better if you will look at the clarity of the picture. There is no need to treat iKaos and animepacks007 as a shitty release just download the screen resolution you want. iKaos release only have multiple audio that is why each episode is big in capacity. Stop complaining about bloat because these magnificent work of these encoders are not bloat, GO BUY YOURSELF A BIGGER CAPACITY HARD DISK DRIVE LIKE 4 TO 10TB for you to stop complaining you do not have HD space.

I will download this release because I want it upscale in 1080p.

This is the Best 1080p ralease (iKaos the best 480p), suitable for TV box, great video and audio quality on a small file. Thanks!

As warning: This release is a wide screen video and were cut on Y axis from origin. If you don like that and still want a box ratio without cut and FHD realese, go for the 30th aniversary FiFUNPANDA.
