@mattsildo The source that I used was already muxed so I don’t know that. But I checked S7 and I can say that they surely don’t sync because there are extra scenes in the Bluray. Try using Sushi.

@aptop6 I accepted your suggestion and I’ll do it for next projects. This batch and a few other ones (like the next coming Black Clover) were already encoded and muxed.

@nabiru3 I hope you understand that video quality is a thing and subtitles is another. Also, there are no other consistent subs for the entire series so that was the only choice. Feel free to remove them and add your favourite fansubs.

how did you make 1st 3 seasons into 1080 16:9 aspect ratio ?they were never supposed to be in 1080p format

also s1 had 201 episodes s2 had 51 ep and s3 had 13 episodes in total gintama only had 8 season you kinda fucked the order here

First 4 seasons are in 1080p 4:3, which means 1440x1080. On some databases they’re all counted as one season, on others they’re 4. I didn’t “kinda fuck the order”, also @AlisherK if you had read the description you would know that movies and OVAs are not included.

@whereswarren For the OPs you can set the correct ratio in the player, it’s just a metadata issue and not the actual format of the video

Man Thanks for the upload but the 8th season really gave me a headache, the folder name ends with a ".’’ so I wasn’t able to access it or even delete it and then I tried a few solutions and I deleted my incomplete torrents by mistake lol. Finally I deleted the folder so I didn’t get the 8th season ultimately.

Yea that dot is causing issues in few torrent clients. You can rename the folder from the client and complete the download.

After finishing this download, I found out a minor error. As mentioned already by @whereswarren , some OPs and EDs have the wrong aspect ratio. This is a very small error in the MKV file header, and can be easily fixed.
While changing the aspect ratio in the video player is easy, a more permanent solution is here -

1 - Download MKVToolNix and install it.
2 - Download JMKVPropEdit and run it.
3 - Select the files with the wrong aspect ratio.
4 - Go to the “Video” tab, check the boxes next to “Edit this track” and "Extra Parameters"
5 - In the extra parameters space, copy and paste these parameters -

 --set display-width=16 --set display-height=9 --set display-unit=3

 (Here, 16:9 is the correct aspect ratio)

6 - Finally, click on “Process Files”…
7 - Profit

The only problem now is ED16, not sure if it was already like that in the source, but it really seem like it was poorly encoded (the resolution is as if someone made a black bars 16:9 into 4:3 without removing them, and the screen scroll is looking like “Ed, Edd 'nd Eddie” drawing lines, that’s how awful the aliasing (?) looks in that one).

Some episodes may not have subs for a short period, i ran into this issue on S03-39(138) from 18:13 to 19:17, I cant be sure on earlier episodes since I used a different version to watch before.

Was really excited, then I realized these were the CR subs. ☹️ I’ll hold out for a better batch with better subs. Translation is more important to me than BD quality for this specific series.

The subs after chapter1 2:03 in episode 194 are not synced
The subs in season 7 are not synced properly, half of the lines (especially big dialogs) come after a delay and half of them work fine (the delay is annoying af), are there any other subs which work fine for the bd releases for season7

seasons 5 onwards are very difficult to watch since they don’t have TL notes for some reason unlike the earlier 4 seasons. seasons 7 and 9’s jokes are mostly difficult to understand due to no actual notes with the references (considering some are bleeped while some are outright explicit but non-japanese can’t understand the reference), but that’s not the fault of the uploader though. are there alternative subs for the later seasons?

@Judas: thanks for the workaround for us hopeless Windows users. i knew you could choose the folder name where the torrent was saved to, but NOT the folder/path names of individual directories IN the torrent! nice :)

FYI, if you want to avoid people having to do this, whenever i want to end my filenames with a period, i just append it with an underscore, which is barely visible.
(stupid Windows can’t name files ending in period, despite it being the most common way to end sentences in the English language! …not counting that one.)

@karishinji: actually, the more accurate term for the first 201 eps are “Series 1”. there were 4 seasons in it. a “season” is usually a “years worth” of episodes, and since each season (as listed here) occurred in a different year, Judas’ schedule is pretty spot on. the “seasons” after S04 are actually each separate “Series”, because they have (slightly) different names from the first series.

@3bood: it’s really NOT that big, if you look at how many episodes there are, and how small each file is, compared to the quality of the episodes (1080p). if you aren’t sure what this series is, just download the first Season from this torrent, and see what you think before downloading it all. Season 1 is only 8.6GB, despite having 49 episodes…
