Alright, I have a few answers to your questions. This is 800x600 because it’s a VHS rip from a leaked advanced screening. There’s obvious VHS degradation, but over all the tapes are very well stored. At the start of episode 13, shortly before the VHS plays there is a screen that quickly flashes (https://reddit.com/r/translator/comments/fau83h/japanese_english_seemingly_an_old_ad_from_a/) after being translated, we can see this is an advanced screening from Asahi Television.
The shortening and weird parts of some OP’s could be because these were made for a test screening, it could be later changes, broadcast time limits or to track leaks.
As for the 24bit FLAC, this is from a broadcasters professional tape which has higher quality video and audio then normal tapes.
This answers the same question on why so many of the tapes were in amazing condition, they have dedicated storage at major TV companies to store these relics.
ImpatientRaws well, I have no clue. Probably a release group with some connections on the inside.
With that being said, this is cremelcropè rare. I only have 22% of the torrent done and it seems like it’s being peer flooded. So please, seed your torrent. Your paused if you didn’t know. Or upload the season to some direct download site like MEGA. This is truly a piece of history and the highest quality we’ll ever get besides a better encode from our source, direct scans of the animation frames or a proper remaster

If you get around to uploading it for DDL, I’m thinking of trying to somewhat remaster it.
It’s easy to chuck the raws into Video2x and wait for them to process with Waifu2x or Anime4K, but fixing the tape degradation is going to be incredibly hard.
I do have qBittorrent, so I will try to seed on that

Hmmm, I wish I had an answer for you but I don’t. When I get the DDL I’m downloading it ASAP, putting it on the 5TB data hoarder drive and mirroring it to as many file hosts as possible then posting links.
I might try making a torrent with it myself for you if your having so many strange issues.
I checked my VPN, and data is uploading so I'm not sure why neither seem to actually be seeding. And zippyshare seems to be stuck at an eternal 0% for everything
A quick google search brought up "File Dropper", which was a 5GB file limit. So that should work =)
@davFaithid try uploading the files to mega.nz, large encrypted file host that can support the entire folder instead of split parts with fast download speeds.
5GB a day download limit per IP but can be bypassed with MegaBasterd.
I've long given hope on getting a hold of this series raw (or at least without hardsubs), but here comes our savior, davFaithid-sama, bestowing this release upon us... THANK YOU my master!

Hey man, sorry. It was pretty late last night when I typed that so I set it to upload to a few file hosts and went to sleep, turns out my VPN crashed like mid way through and I just realised now when I’ve woken up.
So yeah, it’s happening. Just got unlucky.

Warner Brothers had nothing to do with this series so that short flash at the start was most likely from a movie broadcast which was then taped over. The source being 800x600 has nothing to do with it either, along with the fake pseudo FLAC. VHS tapes aren't digital don't store digital video. None of this release is original and it's all just re-encodes of ancient AVI raws that have been online for years. Much better sources are already out there and this is a bit of a hack job with upscaled video and audio.
I don't mean to attack you or anyone, I just wanted to clear that up and I hope that sheds some light on what these actually are.
Sadly, that makes all too much sense.
ImpatientRaws were a re-encode group probably. That explains my private suspicions on the Season 1 raws how they look very similar to the DVD raws. I was even thinking of pointing that out, as maybe it wasn't a real ImpatientRaws release, if they were truly an in-group leaking stuff from Toei.
Well, on the bright side, at least the raws are pretty good looking, if that's any consolation.

I guess it's all fine and good since these are pretty much as they say they are. Raws of Yugioh Season Zero in a ridiculous size.

Here are the original raws, VHS degradation matches up. Default audio bitrate for VHS is 384KBPS so ofc it shows like that in the spectrum analyzer.
No clue on the advanced screening shit, enjoy.

I rememeber seeing a torrent for this gem on Asian DVD Club. I don't remember the size, but I know it was big because at the time I couldn't spend my buffer, since I was downloading other stuff. I'm pretty sure the source was there and the picture quality was a stright rip from a high quality VHS.
