*Episode 89 uses custom video. DVD and BD sources for the episode has various issues, so I re-created the video using footage from other episodes instead (episode 89 is a recap and preview, so there is no new footage anyways).*

Happy Valentine's Day to us!
Thank you so much, especially for the hard work on reassembling the nicest-looking episode 89 possible. Really excited to see your skills applied to the best season next.
@eijig
I already provided explanation on why tracks are tagged like this in my Escaflowne release - see comments of https://nyaa.si/view/885188
TL;DR There is no perfect choice and I have started with this tagging, so I will continue with it for my Sailor Moon releases
You actually can still seed you just won't be a 100% seed since editing the header changes 1% of the file. I do it all the time to dual audio releases because people always have fucked up language and defaults.
@ataru_moroboshi915
At some point yes, but my next project will likely be something else. I will try to get started on S this year, but I can't make any promises as I am still acquiring some of the sources.
@Hark0n : I don't really know you, but I have the complete Full Moon wo Sagashite VOB files from when I ripped the DVDs forever ago (for AMV editing), but don't know how to properly prepare them for release with smaller files sizes and HD quality. They're Dual-audio with subtitles. If you are interested in them please message me on Twitter @Fujioshifor (This is my dummy account for anonymity so don't worry about it being empty). I will upload the files to Mega if you want them. (Feel free to share this with other encoders and such).
@ThatShyKidintheBack
Thanks for offer, but I do not plan to work on Full Moon wo Sagashite.
If you can, I would suggest sharing VOB files on Nyaa - that way someone else could make a dual-audio release using them.
If you don't mind, I have a few questions...
For this and your Sailor Moon "Season 1" torrents, the FLAC audio from the Blu-rays is the raw DTS-HD Master Audio without any additional processing like normalization / dynamic range compression / etc., NOT the core DTS audio correct? If so...
I was planning on using your audio with my Madman DVDs. The plan is to remux the raw Madman video with the raw HD audio, using Audacity to sync your audio using the Madman audio, then using VideoRedo to fix the order of the pre-episode clips for R and S. However, I believe the frame rate of your video is 24 FPS, whilst the Madman DVDs would be at 23.976 FPS. This makes me fear that the audio would be next to impossible to sync, as the higher frame rate would cause the audio (and therefore subs) to be out of sync at a variable, rather than fixed, speed. Am I incorrect with this assumption, and if not, would you happen to have an "earlier" version of your FLAC files (Again, as long as no filtering like normalization is applied to them.) for both the original and Viz dub that would work with a 23.976 FPS source?
Also, if you happen to have the edited Cloverway VHS tapes of the S and SuperS seasons and / or the edited Pioneer VHS tapes of the movie trilogy, could you digitize those and upload them here RAW?
@Damned
FLAC audio in this release is directly converted from Blu-ray DTS-HD Master Audio files with eac3to default settings with no filtering (normalization / dynamic range compression) applied, BUT it is edited (e.g. cutting, pasting, deleting) afterwards to fit Italian DVD video. There are no changes in audio speed comparing to source.
I don't see the point of swapping out Italian DVD video from this release and replacing it with video from Australian DVD - I don't think there would be an improvement in video quality. That aside, speed should be the same, assuming that those DVDs did not change it - Australian BDs and DVDs use different video source for first seasons (I don't have all sources, so I can't confirm).
I also should have unedited FLAC files somewhere, but I have no plans to publicly distribute them (might do it privately).
I do not own any VHS tapes of any kind. I have VHS encodes of movies, but those were sent to me privately, so I can't share them publicly without explicit endorsement from original encoder.
"FLAC audio in this release is directly converted from Blu-ray DTS-HD Master Audio files with eac3to default settings with no filtering (normalization / dynamic range compression) applied"
Awesome!
"BUT it is edited (e.g. cutting, pasting, deleting) afterwards to fit Italian DVD video."
I figure the cutting and pasting is changing the order of the pre-episode clips, as those were in the wrong order on the Viz / Madman sets but deleting? I presumed the video was exactly the same since the footage should be entirely unedited, but do you remember what you deleted? The Australian DVDs do use the Italian masters for seasons 1-3 (Although the Australian sets are in NTSC and the Italian ones in PAL), so if the speed of the audio is unaltered between the two, hopefully it should still sync easily, plus being edited to the proper pre-episode clip order should save me a decent amount of time.
@Damned
"I presumed the video was exactly the same since the footage should be entirely unedited"
Why would it be? If they for some random reason changed the order of the pre-episode clips, they could (and from my observations did) change other parts. Most of timing differences were between episode parts (e.g. before/after OP, eye-catch, ED) and around those places I either deleted or copied small sections of audio depending on necessity.
I did not work with Australian DVDs, so I don't know what differences there are between them and my release.
These releases are amazing, hoping you will consider finishing all the main seasons of Sailor Moon as there is frankly no better release than yours for them right now :)
