Slightly worse audio from Netflix this week, as the TV audio was unusable due to an earthquake warning.
Some have expressed concern regarding our choice to localize "Shishigumi" as "Leo Group" due to the possible double meaning of the name. After some internal discussion, we have decided to stick with the name, as we were unable to come up with something satisfying in English that captures both meanings. We would rather use something that at least captures the main meaning than something that (to an English-speaking audience) captures neither, as leaving it untranslated would. Also, as far as we have been able to see no plot point actually hinges on the double meaning of the name. Of course, we may decide to change this for the batch if we do manage to come up with something that captures both meanings in English; we're always open to suggestions (though please do avoid spoilers in the comments).
MPV is the only player we support. No support will be given for any other player. If something else happens to work, great. If it doesn’t, it’s not our problem.

I think its better to not translate than over translate, most official subtitles over translate making stuff bland, generic and or highly Americanized. Whining about word origins also annoy me...rather than be stuck in the past and or on negativity look at how things are being used in its current context when you do that the meaning changes most of the time....
"I think its better to not translate than over translate, most official subtitles over translate making stuff bland, generic and or highly Americanized" Aside from the fact that your definition of overtranslate seems to mean "subs I don't like", a lot of subgroups that choose not to translate certain terms, words, or phrases to avoid this so called "Americanization" end up sounding the most dry and generic and bland of any subgroup.
Thanks for the episode!
Koizumi, completely agree. Most anime fans do not understand translation or how Japanese is extremely context based, they just want complete literalization of the text exactly how it sounds on text, with no word missing, otherwise, you're a bad translation. Forgetting that in Japanese things are different said than translated.. Literal translation just sounds stiff and unnatural. So long as you're not forgetting what the orignal intention means.. it doesn't matter if you change a word or two.
