This appears to be rips of Dragon Ball home release known as “Blue Bricks”. It’s serviceable.

Yeah its from my DVD Box set from amazon https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Complete-Seasons-BoxSets/dp/B07JL35PT8/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Dragon+Ball&qid=1557893341&s=gateway&sr=8-1

Hi, thanks for sharring. I’m having trouble with the subs, they won’t appear in any of my repros. i tryed vlc, potplayer, mpc-hc 64… i have klite code pac instaled also… could you help me?
Super_Saiyan_Lusitano
The Saga Sets are definitely better than the Blue Bricks but I’d suppose quality isn’t necessarily the priority here.
zeruk
Does anyone have the Banana Brick set?
Super_Saiyan_Lusitano
The Yellow Bricks are just the Madman Dragon Ball Saga Sets.

Note - These are encoded by [Ecio] and are heavily degrained but retain very good video quality
Feel free to make a torrent

Did anyone figure out the subtitle issue? i’m also not able to see the subtitles in either VLC, windows player, etc… i’m trying to extract the subtitle files and then repack but the MKV extract program sees nothing to extract. VLC sees there’s a subtiltle track but displays nothing… thanks

I can’t get the subs to show in vlc, mpc, or wmp. I thought this would have noticeably better video quality than the HEVC ‘small files’ version here: https://nyaa.si/view/954294 I compared them. I don’t see a difference, and the subs work fine in that one.
Satan
The quality is quite good. If you are used to watching anime at 1080p, it’ll take some getting used to, but fine otherwise (given how old the show is, that is to be expected :p)
Here is the MediaInfo for episode 33: https://pastebin.com/ba5hk1Ft
And here are some screenshots [all screenshots are also from episode 33]
Also, for the people having trouble with subtitles, use MPV Player. The subtitles are actually terrible (looks-wise, then again Dragon Ball series is something that I prefer in Dubs, so the subtitles aren’t a problem to me). Here are screenshot of subtitles on MPV (taken directly from MPV): https://imgur.com/a/wxhlXNe
Also, thanks a ton to the uploader for the great upload.
Finally, someone specifically looking for a torrent with better (looking) subtitles, you might be interested in this torrent: https://nyaa.si/view/455421 (do check out the comments on that one xD)

@Satan Thanks so much for writing these up. You’re a great help.
Astray02Kai
I know once-upon-a-time I found a complete Dragon Ball set ripped from the R2 Dragon Box and encoded with dual audio with no compromises, but didn’t have the PC or space to torrent it. Does anyone know where I could find one now? All the ones on nyaa anymore appear to either be Blue Bricks or modified in some way (Like OP/EDs removed, or the pendakar never-to-be-complete muxes).
RedPineapple
@Astray02Kai Please let me know if you find what you were describing, or at least something close to it.
sho_fukamachi
even after installing MPV there’s still no subtitle…
Odoakr
shity english audio 5+1 but jap 1 ch. fuck you!
FilipinoGrandMaster
Yo uploader. If you are the one who encoded this could you redo this and make Japanese audio default?
MistaL
@Odoakr the Japanese audio only exists in mono, you retard
