#### **Notes**
The story is loosely based on the autobiography of the famous retired geisha Iwasaki Mineko (who was one of the sources for Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha). Iwasaki is also involved in the drama by personally coaching Inoue in the ways of the geisha, and training the cast to speak the unique Gion dialect.

- #### [**English Subtitles**](https://subscene.com/subtitles/hanaikusa/english/1884534)
**A note on subtitles:** The subs were found by me on some random subtitles database. They were wrongly formatted (would not open in any sub editor) and had some really weird timecodes when a random line would stay on screen for 20 minutes or so for no reason. I've skimmed through them and fixed the most obvious problems but there are probably many more so take it into consideration. --*kawada_kun*
