Behold! Wangan Midnight, complete with softsub english subtitles for the modern days and your enjoyment! About this project ------------------ As we all know, the only way to watch Wangan Midnight with english subtitles was a batch put together which contained the translation from several groups/people. Even though it was watchable, there was no consistency overall and the video quality in some episodes was not ideal. For that matter, I stepped up and did what I wasn't planning on doing, this! What's done ----------- Pretty much every single line of dialogue. The first two episodes were easy since the subtitles were already done and need only little tweaks. The real pain began with episode 3 onwards until the very last one since all the available english translations were hardcoded. So, every single line was painstakingly typed, edited and revised (still, there might be errors, one man army here) to bring this release. Fortunately, I found a Brazilian fansub which contained softsubs and the timecodes in those were spot on for most part (some needed small adjustments). It was only a matter of time and patience to assemble everything together. Every episode uses the same font, included in each one so there won't be any problems with playback. Also worth mentioning is the fact that episode 26 (Kyou's version and possible all others) was missing a segment right at the end. That is present in this version's video and therefore is also subtitled since I've found the missing segment on Youtube with the translation by Heibei and Central-Anime. What's not done (and never will be, at least by my hand) -------------------------------------------------------- The warning at the begin of every episode - I suspect it says something like "don't try to recreate this in real life", "this is a work of fiction" and "drive safely" much like Initial D had. So, it needs no translation. OP+ED lyrics and Karaoke - I don't do this crap. Personally I don't appreciate this and it's a waste of time. If someone else wants to do it, be my guest.
