![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/6lun2ao81/suzumiya.png) **Title**: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku **Original title**: 涼宮ハルヒの約束 **Genre**: Visual Novel **Length**: Short (2 - 10 hours) **Year**: Japan 2007-12-27, English Patch v1 2018-07-14 **Developer**: guyzware **Language**: English **Related Anime**: [AniDB](http://anidb.net/a3651) **Translation**: [Tom](https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=24976.0) **Description**: “The Kitakousai festival was coming up at school, but the members of SOS were running around making the movie out of Haruhi’s idea. What happened at this busy time of the members? Taking place in the back stage that wasn’t shown in the anime, players are able to enjoy the original story of the game. The secret that leads to the TV anime is now revealed!!” The PSP game is an interactive novel with spot animations and voice acting that's provided by the actors from the animated series. Players take on the role of Kyon and engage in various interactions with the main cast members and read the conversations that ensue. Although the story in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku is based on the "The Sighs of Suzumiya Haruhi," the scenarios and overall material are new and written exclusively for the game. Multiple endings are also possible depending on the actions that one takes over the course of the game. In addition to the interactive experience, a number of mini-games are also playable at certain junctures including a simple beach volleyball diversion. Bandai touts a new "Motion Portrait" technology that's used in the game where lifelike facial expressions are imbued on the characters so that they appear to be "living" renditions of the heroines we've grown to adore. **Important**: 1. Project History and Credits: "This project was started by Zarradeth and Soywiz (the original hackers), who made huge progress with the game early on. They assembled a team of many translators and planned to translate it into several languages via an impressive in-browser text editor, but for various reasons, their project wasn't proceeding smoothly. Tom (the translator) decided to help finish translating the script after coming across their project. Despite being unfamiliar with the story, he ended up redoing most of the work that was already done, and brought the script translation to 100%, but then the project stalled for years. Finally, EsperKnight (the hacker) took over the project (with Zarradeth and Soywiz' blessing), and he was able to fix all of the remaining issues. Although Zarradeth had done many of the in-game images, not all of them had been done, so Cargodin (the image editor) finished the remaining issues and timed the subtitles for the movies. Special thanks to "casual_scrub," who managed to beat every ending of the game and confirm that it is fully playable." **!!!** Tested on PPSSPP v.0.9.6.2 and 6.39 PRO-B10 and working. **Screenshots**: ![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/pqxwc2alt/screen00000.png) ![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/f4436na69/screen00001.png) ![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/pe6i5wfhd/screen00002.png) ![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/e1two3z2p/screen00003.png) ![alt text](https://s6.postimg.cc/4haa18p69/screen00004.png)
